Merry Christmas everyone! Can you still say that 2 days after
Christmas? … I don’t know, who cares? Anyways, the Danderfers are
enjoying a day of rest after 3 days of entertaining and cooking for many
a family member and friends. What really makes the holiday season
bright for us however, is my Mother’s cooking! I know, every son loves
his Mother’s cooking but, well… my Mother is special damn it! more…

I’ve had a long day preparing for, and later performing, two shows of a
musical called “The Drowsy Chaperone”. more…

The whole self-imposed 8 hour work days lasted a bit longer this week,
I actually made it to Wednesday before it fell apart. So I guess I’m
making progress,… of a sort. Friday was a complete write-off though
as a friend of mine I hadn’t seen in a while was visiting from Montreal
where he’s working towards a master’s degree in jazz performance.

I was recently wrestling with the idea of applying to grad schools myself
but, not really wanting to go back to school I kind of put the issue on
the back burners. So far back, in fact, that I didn’t even more…

Well, the 8 hours a day thing started off well. Yes, day one was a
gloriously fruitful day with several new tunes penned (or at least
beginnings thereof) and much practicing achieved, I even practiced
some piano again! Then, as always happens after I “turn a new leaf”,
the whole thing fell apart on day two! more…

Two blogs in two days, I know, I’m excited too.
Actually, I was just writing some notes down to myself and thought
Why not simply write this on my news page? After all, don’t my
devoted readers deserve it?

The issue at hand is a lack of artistic output, simply put, I just haven’t
been writing much music of late and it’s starting to really bother me. more…
