New Video On YouTube, Comedy & Jazz Shows Continue Tonight, Mother’s Day Just Around The Corner

vidHello, good morning, and welcome to the Saturday Morning News Post!

Finally the moment all 2 of my YouTube subscribers have been waiting for,… more Danderfer! That’s right, I’ve just posted a video of my Vancouver trio (w/ Joe Poole and Miles Black) on YouTube. Shot by Andrew Lavigne and recorded by Chris Gestrin, this video (actually from last Summer) features the 1st tune of my “Jelly Roll Suite” (commissioned by CBC radio in 2010) called “As Luck Would Have It”.

Eventually, I’m going to have all videos available on my website, but until then, click here to watch it. … One or two more videos to follow shortly.

Now let’s get down to brass tacks,… comedy AND jazz together, what a brilliant idea! Please allow me a minute to pat myself on the back for having masterminded the whole thing…

Okay. I mean seriously, who would have thought of such a combination?! Besides, of course,… any and all comedians or jazz musicians from 1920 to 1975.

Comedians Graham Clark and Ivan Decker were fantastic, the band (w/ Joe Poole and Chris Gestrin) played the hell out of my music, and the audience was great too. (Special kudos go to Gestrin who played all my charts for the 1st time yesterday,… way to go CGmagik!)

And we’re doing it all again tonight so tell your friends to come on down and enjoy some extreme laughter followed by extreme clarinet-ing.

Thanks to the everyone who came down last night and supported us, and don’t forget,… tomorrow is Mother’s Day. Have a great week! jd1
