Yes, yes, I know,… late again. Curses!
Oh well, nothing can get me down this week ’cause you’re looking at the proud owner of a Selmer ’65’ bass clarinet! This model is called the “Privilege”, and it is indeed a privilege to be saddled with debt. Oh yeah, back in my wheel house,… feels exciting!
For those of you who don’t regularly follow the SMNP, I’ve been looking for a “deal” on a good bass clarinet for about 6 years. In fact, “Ebay – bass clarinets-sort:highest price to lowest” has been the homepage on my internet browser for over 4 years.
And a few weeks ago, I found the horn for offer from a seller in Philadelphia. Now, it wasn’t a “steal” exactly (spoiler alert!: there are no unbelievable deals on ebay, people just bid up the price to something either reasonable or unreasonable.), but it was a pretty fair deal,… except for a little crack in the horn which wasn’t mentioned and,… decreases the value considerably, so, come to think about it,… it wasn’t THAT good of a deal.
But nevermind that! The search is over! And that, is worth something in and of itself.
Now, the only question that remains is … Where do I go from here?! I mean,… I found the bass clarinet. The search is over. What’s left to do with my life? Done. I’m,… empty, confused.
